This year, I AM ART returned to the Reno Fashion Show as a media partner, bringing both our camera and the I AM ART Interactive Mirror Installation into the experience.
Last year, our lens took audiences backstage, documenting the preparation, anticipation, and creative energy before the models stepped onto the runway.
This year, our perspective changed.
I AM ART became the camera at the end of the stage.
From that position, we captured each model walking directly toward the lens—the confidence, movement, expression, and final moment when the designer’s vision met the audience.
Through the Lens of I AM ART
The end of the runway holds a unique kind of energy.
It is the point where the model fully presents the look. The walk slows. The pose lands. The garment moves beneath the lights. For a brief moment, the model, the fashion, and the camera meet.
That was the story I AM ART came to document.
Our photography focused not only on what each model wore, but on what they brought to the runway: identity, culture, personality, discipline, and presence.
Every walk became its own creative statement.
Every photograph became part of a larger visual record of the Reno Fashion Show.
Bringing the I AM ART Interactive Mirror Installation
Alongside our work at the end of the runway, I AM ART brought our Interactive Mirror Installation to the Reno Fashion Show.
The installation begins with two simple words:
I AM.
The person standing before the mirror completes the statement.
I am confident.
I am culture.
I am representation.
I am a model.
I am becoming.
I am here.
I am ART.
The mirror transforms each participant from someone observing the event into part of the artwork itself.
It is not simply a backdrop or photo opportunity. It is an invitation to pause, step into the frame, and recognize the creativity, identity, and story reflected back.
When the Runway Meets the Reflection
One of the photographs shared from the installation featured a model reflecting on whether she may have been the first Sri Lankan to walk in the Reno Fashion Show.
That question made the moment about more than fashion.
It became a moment of visibility, cultural pride, and representation.
The mirror held the flowers, the fashion, the celebration, and the person at the center of it all. It gave her a place to document not only how she looked that evening, but what the experience meant to her.
That is the purpose of the I AM ART Interactive Mirror Installation.
Every person brings a different identity into the reflection. Every participant changes the artwork. Every photograph adds another story to the living collection.
Fashion Is a Living Collaboration
A runway show is built through collaboration.
The designer creates the vision.
The model gives it movement.
The hair and makeup teams shape the presentation.
The production team creates the stage.
The photographer preserves the moment.
At the Reno Fashion Show, I AM ART was positioned where all of those creative elements came together: at the end of the runway.
The Interactive Mirror Installation carried that experience beyond the stage, giving participants a place to create their own images and reflect on the role they played within the event.
One experience was seen through our camera.
The other was seen through the mirror.
Together, they told a fuller story of fashion, creativity, identity, and community.
